Returns & Exchange Policy

Every Majos saree is meticulously handcrafted and carefully inspected before shipping. However, in the rare event of any issue, we have a clear return and exchange process for our customers.

Slight irregularities are part of the handloom process and are not considered defects. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. Colour & Product Representation

  • Product photos are taken in neutral light to represent colours as accurately as possible.
  • Minor variations may occur due to screen settings, blended hues, or different thread lots.
  • Such differences are not grounds for return or exchange.
  • If you are unsure about a colour, we encourage you to request a video consultation before ordering.

2. Order Cancellations

  • Orders cannot be cancelled once placed, as dispatch begins immediately.
  • For exceptional cases, email majossilks@gmail.com within 24 hours of placing your order.

3. Returns & Exchanges

  • Returns or exchanges are accepted only at Majos’ discretion and only in cases of genuine manufacturing defects or incorrect items. Returns excludes products on sale category.
  • Notify us within 24 hours of delivery at majossilks@gmail.com, attaching:
    1. An unboxing video (mandatory)
    2. Clear photographs of the defect or incorrect item
  • Our Quality Control team will review and confirm eligibility. This process might take up to 3 working days.
  • Once approved, we will provide the return address. Customers must arrange and pay for return shipping unless the product is defective.

4. Conditions for Eligibility

Returned sarees must be:

  • Unused, unwashed, and unaltered (no blouse stitching, fall/pico, tasselling, or other customisation)
  • In original packaging with all labels, tags intact.
  • The original fold must be intact.
  • Shipped back within the timeline specified by our team.

5. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Situations

  • Incorrect or outdated shipping address, including PO boxes
  • Recipient refusal or three failed delivery attempts
  • Dislike of colour, design, or weave
  • Customised orders (blouse stitching, fall/pico, tassels, etc.)
  • Inherent handloom characteristics, including:

o   Knots, bumps, or slubs in the yarn

o   Slightly uneven threads or gaps in motifs

o   Missing Lines and Minute Gaps: Small gaps in and around motifs or within the weave of the body or pallu are characteristics of handloom weaving. 

o   Tiny selvage holes from loom latching

o   Overlaps or minor dye variations, including zari “bleed” effects

These features are part of authentic handloom weaving and not defects.

6. Actual Defects Eligible for Return

  • Visible tears or fabric damage
  • Missing blouse piece
  • Saree length significantly different from website specifications

7. Refunds

  • After we receive and inspect the returned product, refunds are processed to the original payment method within 15 working/business days.
  • Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to credit the amount.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

8. International Orders

  • International returns/exchanges are at Majos’ discretion and must follow the same 24-hour notification and unboxing-video requirement. Please check International Shipping Policy for more details.
  • Customers are responsible for all shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and import fees for both the original and return shipments.
  • Refunds may take longer (up to 15 working/business days) and can vary slightly due to currency exchange rates and bank transaction fees.
